Azerbaijani football team in Leeds

Azerbaijani football team in Leeds won first place in the community tournament. Chairman of the AzerTurk Organization in Leeds and member of the football team Isa Hamzezadeh said: “We all had a brilliant day, it was real fun. All of the team’s enjoyed themselves. I think it is great the work that is being done in Leeds to try and raise awareness around stigma and discrimination. Get Moving week really helps to try and break down some of the barriers and encourages people to talk about mental health. It also has the added bonus of encouraging positive mental health through physical exercise. Football has played a huge part in my recovery journey and I am now the coach of the team Atay. We hope to have more tournaments like this throughout the year.”
