Hundreds of ex-pat oil worker Scots are members of rival clubs the Bhoys Of Baku and the Baku Bears.

Clubbing together ... Celtic and Rangers fans will tune in to Old Firm in Baku tomorrow

Hoops fans will cheer on their heroes at their favourite haunt 'Caspian Paradise' while Gers followers will pack into the 'Bear Pit' bar.

The roughnecks have a tradition that the losing supporters must bring bottles of champagne to their arch rivals' pub so they can celebrate victory.

And each year, the losing club president is forced to wear the top of their bitter adversaries for a WEEK.

Baku Bears Vice Chairman Ewen Bickerton, 50, said: "You'll see loads of Rangers and Celtic tops on the streets of Baku this weekend. Everyone knows about the Old Firm rivalry here.

"Azerbaijan must be one of the weirdest places in the world to watch the Old Firm but the banter between both sets of fans is absolutely superb."

Gourock-born Bob McEwan, 50, helped found the Bhoys Of Baku Celtic Supporters' Club in 2004.

Alongside the Baku Bears, they have raised nearly Ј200,000 for local orphanages and disabled charities.

They sponsor two youth football teams - renamed the Baku Bears and Sahil Celtic Boys Club. Bob said: "We get them to play each other in an annual charity match and we all get as wound up watching them as we do the Old Firm games.

"The two clubs are very close and we have joint charity evenings and quizzes and football matches." Bob and Ewen both can't wait for tomorrow's game - with both expecting a win.

Operations manager Bob said: "I'm expecting the Baku Bears round with bubbly after a 2-1 win."

But Ewen hit back: "Gers will win 3-1."
